The soote season, that bud and bloomforth brings,With green hath clad the hill and eke thevale;The nightingale with feathers new she

夏日來(lái)臨，每一根枝條都在噴紅吐翠;雄鹿將他的舊犄角掛上籬笆;公羊把他的冬衣丟進(jìn)矮樹(shù)叢，

The fishes float with new repair'ed scale;The adder all he-r slough away sheslings,The swift swallow pursueth the flie'ssmall;The busy bee her honey now she mings.Winte-r is worn that was the flowers' bale.And thus | see amon-g these pleasantthings,Each care decays, and yet my s--orrowsprings.

披上新鱗的魚(yú)兒浮出水面;小蛇也蛻掉了她昔日的衣裝，靈巧的燕子正追逐那小小的蒼蠅; 勤勞的蜜蜂正忙著把花蜜調(diào)釀。那傷害花兒的冬日已然過(guò)去,抬眼一片勃勃生機(jī)，一切的愁云都已散卻，而悲哀卻漫.上我心頭。
